Happy 19th Birthday Minzy of 2NE1 !!!

Minzy from 2NE1 will be celebrating her birthday soon and I have started a painting to celebrate. I’m so snowed under in University work though so I hope I can finish it in time!

Park Bom, Queen of hearts (and corn!)

I drew this Earlier this year. (7 months ago!) It was going to be my birthday image for Bom instead of this image.
but after I drew it, I didn’t like it. I’ve edited it a bit now and I like it a bit better… It’s not my usual style (I used pen instead of my usual inks) and it didn’t turn out exactly how I’d hoped… but I hope Bom fans like it anyway! :)

As you may or may not know, Kpop has influenced a lot of my artworks over the past couple of years.
I had a great time at the ‘Korea Calling’ event at London’s ‘Thames Festival’ this weekend!

It was great to see so many other UK K-pop fans in one place. Everybody singing along to K-pop and dancing (or trying to at least in such a big squeezed crowd!) was awesome! (this is why I have no photos of this part! I was too busy dancing, screaming and jumping around! haha!)

Not only was the K-pop night fun, (which included a stall by CUBE entertainment, posing with life size cutouts of Kpop stars, a ‘Noraebang singing room’ and a live DJ accompanied by some dancers, but I also saw an amazing Tae Kwon Do demonstration, A Korean silent film with live music accompanying (and often hilarious live commentary), A very amusing comedy act and an amazing set of music by the Sookmyung Gayageum Orchestra who played a mix of music including traditional Korean music, the Beatles and ‘Gee’ by Girl’s Generation/ SNSD! :D There was also a guy who had some seriously impressive body popping moves who appeared a couple of times during their performance! There was also tasty food, free tea and strange mascot masks and a huge inflatable ball to write messages on.

I hope to see more Kpop events in the UK and hopefully soon Kpop groups themselves will tour here and make us fans very happy.

This is an old drawing, It was done last year, but I never posted it online. Here it is, dug up from my files and released!

Sorry there’s not much new artwork recently. I am up to my neck in University coursework. I hope to have some time to do more Gaga and 2NE1 artwork in the next month or so. I also have the work for ‘Playful Promises’ which will be revealed as soon as the project is completed with the client. :)
